How to Adopt a Jazzmania Kitten

ADOPTION PROCESS AND FEES

The adoption fee for a Jazzmania Ragdoll kitten is $1300. The fee includes EVERYTHING your kitten needs for his/her first year of life. Your kitten will be already "speutered" (spayed or neutered) with state-of-the-art anesthetic and surgical protocols - this is non-negotiable. All necessary vaccines and dewormings will be complete. Your kitten will have had a physical by my vet and a signed health certificate for each kitten will be provided. A health guarantee by contract is also provided as well as the registration paperwork from TICA should you decide you wish to formally register your kitten.

A non-refundable deposit of $150 is required to reserve a kitten and will, of course, be deducted from the total adoption fee. The balance is due when your kitten is ready for pick-up.

It is entirely too stressful for a kitten to experience such a frightening process. In addition, I prefer meeting potential kitten adopters when possible. It also preferred that adopters are not more than a 2-hour drive from my location.

WAIT LIST AND DEPOSIT

Because of the ongoing demand for Ragdoll kittens, there is almost always a wait list for kittens. To be placed on Jazzmania's wait list, a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $150.00 is required AFTER YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED FOR AN ADOPTION. Deposits are non-refundable because we turn away other inquiries once the wait list is full. You may use the "BUY NOW" button below to make a deposit through Paypal. If you do not have a PayPal account, the funds may come from a bank account or credit card on your end using the same link. You will then be added to Jazzmania's wait list immediately and on your way to adopting your very own Ragdoll kitten! You may also send a personal check or money order if preferred - mailing info will be provided. I do reserve the right to return your deposit if I feel your family is not a good match for a Ragdoll kitten.

One can never have TOO much information.

When the kittens are 7-8 weeks of age, they will be assessed to confirm colors, patterns, and personalities. It is important that a kitten's personality is a good match with your family and your family's lifestyle. When your name comes up on the wait list, I will contact you regarding available kittens and will provide pictures and personality descriptions. If you prefer a kitten other than those available or if the timing is not good for you to adopt, you may opt to wait for a future litter.

A pick-up appointment will be scheduled when the kittens are ready at 12 weeks of age. Due to Covid, in-home visits have been discontinued. We have renovated an area off of the garage specifically for the purpose of greeting those who are adopting kittens so that there is no exposure to the main part of the house. It's unfortunate that circumstances have changed but it is important for the safety of your family as well as for the safety of Jazzmania's cats and kittens.

All vaccine and deworming info, a signed health certificate from my vet, a health guarantee, samples of your kitten’s favorite foods and a few of your kitten's favorite toys will be provided. Follow-up is extremely important as our association is not over after you pick up your baby. If you have any questions or concerns, please e-mail at anytime. In fact, I specifically request at least one follow-up to be sure that your kitten is well-adjusted and happy (as well as you!) This also provides the opportunity to address any additional questions you may have.
